House Points
At St. Andrew's, all children in Key Stage 2 are members of a House. Our Houses are named after parks surrounding our school - Greenbank, Errwood, Highfield and Cringle. Children earn House Points for good work and behaviour. House Points are collected each week and the winning House is announced in our Friday assembly. At the end of the year, the House with the most points has their name engraved on the House Shield as that year's champions!
Each House votes to elect their House Captains for the year, two children from Year 6. The role of House Captain is one of privilege, pride and responsibility. They are more than just a title and badge and require dedication and commitment for an entire year. The children take an active role in Celebration Assemblies and lead charitable events - this may include major national events e.g. Children in Need or more local events e.g food collection for the Oasis Centre.
As House Captains, we expect children:
- To be positive role models and ambassadors for the school, demonstrating our school values.
- To be enthusiastic and committed to the House System at St. Andrew's.
- To be friendly and positive with all students, particularly within your House.
- To be part of the team of House Captains who work together to achieve success for all.
